What is the purpose of document parking in SAP FICO ?

 Document parking in SAP FICO is a functionality used to temporarily store and review incomplete financial document before posting.

It allows users to collaborate on document creation and verification before final posting.

For Ex : If you are a junior accountant and you are only allowed to park the document, someone from your team, they will review the document, and then will decide whether this document should be posted or not.

So that functionality in sap is called as document parking. Till the time the document is not approved. it will not get posted.

This is mandatory in most of the companies. They don't want a user to directly post a document. There will be a maker checker concept. One person will be creating the document, parking the document, and second person will be posting it.
